Hamsters Shall Rule The World!
"Key, key, key, key," Liam chanted, rummaging through his bag for the missing object. It was just a bit past 5, just after practice when he noticed it was nowhere to be found.
"Mom's going to kill me," he groaned and started hitting his head repeatedly on his locker, barely noticing the number of stares he was receiving.
"You- you okay, man?" one of his teammates asked warily. He eyed Liam as if he were crazy. Not surprising after what he did.
Liam flashed the guy, Josh, a sheepish grin. A sure indication that he was okay. The guys, seeing this, shrugged their shoulders and went back to changing.
"Liam!" A small but happy voice called from the entrance of the locker room. His blue eyes alighted on the dark-haired girl bouncing towards him.
"Leia, you're not supposed to be here. This is the boys' locker room!" He whispered harshly to his best friend. The team laughed at Liam's expression as Leia gave him 'The Look'. 'The Look', accurately dubbed by Liam, was when Leia gave him her most pitiful looking puppy-dog eyes. He could never get mad at her whenever she did that.
"It's not like there's anything to see," she said, gaining an uproar from the guys. "Hey guys," she greeted them belatedly.
"Hey Panda," they chorused. Panda was the nickname people at their school gave Leia for her loving personality and her innocent looks. Everybody thought of her as their little sister. Some kids even pinched her cheeks when they passed her in the hallways.
"Have you seen Dani?" Leia asked Liam hurriedly. "She was supposed to meet me in the courtyard but she never showed."
"She's probably off with Matt," Josh murmured. "He didn't show for practice either."
Liam frowned in thought. He knew that those two were dating a few months back but they never stood their friends up before. What happened?
"If you find her, can you tell her I'm still in the courtyard?" Thank you!" she told him without even waiting for his response. She ambled out of the room and promptly disappeared.
Well, he could look for them while trying to locate his locker key.
He bid the guys farewell and trekked along the school. The halls were still crowded with kids. Strange. Then he remembered the program the teachers prepared for the students. He checked his watch. No wonder, it only ended a few minutes ago.
"Hey Liam," some girls cooed as he walked by. He gave them a forced smile. They really annoyed him terribly. Sometimes he wished they would just disappear.
He headed to the boy's bathroom to search but found something more interestig than his key. It was a shirtless Matt lying on top of an equally half-naked Dani. Liam's eyes widened in shock but the shock faded eventually. He coughed to get their attention.
"Matt, Dani," he greeted them. Picking up the glinting object on the ground, he proceeded to ignore them. It was what he came for anyway, not the half-dressed lovers.
"Matt, you better come to practice tomorrow and Dani, Panda's waiting for you in the courtyard," he told them coldly before disappearing behind the door.
